Njan Steve Lopez, directed by Rajeev Ravi will be screened at Ernakulam Children’s Park Theatre on Saturday as part of the monthly programme of Cochin Film Society. There will be a discussion on the film after its screening which starts at 6.30 pm. V K Adarsh will deliver a talk on the topic ‘Scope of cinema in the cyber era’.

The 116 minute film revolves mainly around the life of a police officer’s son Steve (Farhaan Faasil), his father George (Alansier)a police officer, his childhood friend Anjali (Ahaana Krishna) and Hari (Sujit Shankar), member of a gang. One day Steve witnesses a stranger being attacked by men with sharp weapons. Though he could not stop them, Steve takes the injured man to the hospital when the attackers leave their victim for dead. One day Steve spots one of the attackers, Hari, and decides to follow him. Things turn murkier when Steve learns that the police force including his father  are involved with the gangs and are playing sides.Inevitably, Steve realises that the human side of these bad guys and that police have terrible secrets too, but no one has answers to his questions. The more he investigates  the more dangerous things turn for him.

The film’s tension is sustained by the mystery of how the police is connected to the gangs and whether Steve will be able to find answers to the questions his father refuses to even acknowledge.
